Welcome to the pre-issue of Crone Clubโs Substack e-magazine! ๐ฅณ
Knowing me, Juzza (Crone-in-Training).
Knowing you, Potential Subscriber; ahaaa.
1. What is โTits to the Windโ e-magazine - Why this, why now?
โTits to the Windโ is Crone Clubโs new e-magazine which pulls together some of the themes and content inspired by our Private Facebook group so itโs easier to get some mid-life joy and engage more people in challenging the toxic narrative of female ageing. So many great thoughts, themes and collaborations come out of our Facebook group but are getting lost, plus Facebook isnโt for everybody (erm, anybody?!). We also want to spread the joy of growing older as a woman to a wider audience regardless of age/gender/sex - as challenging negative stereotypes of ageing brings more positive life outcomes for EVERYONE.
2. Who is โTits to the Windโ e-magazine for?
Do you want to feel better about getting older? And/or do you want to do your bit to help change the toxic narrative of menopause and female ageing? Maybe you already are blazing a trail in this space? Or maybe youโre already living your best crone life and want to share the joy to inspire others?
Maybe youโreโฆ
A Crone Club Private Facebook group member?
- An Official Crone (women over 60 who are loving life and are up for sharing their story to support and inspire younger women).
- A Crone-in-Training (women entering menopause 40 plus wanting a bit of positive inspo and collaboration ops with like-minded feministas).
- A Curious Mother/Maiden (women/girls from 14-40 wanting to learn from older women).Already established in the hag / crone / healthy ageing space? Perhaps youโve already had some success as a writer, โInsta-croneโ, or leader of a project that aims to change the narrative for female ageing? Or maybe youโre working on a similar idea and believe we are stronger together?
Thereโs a wonderful growing movement of women trailblazing a path to change the toxic narrative of female ageing. And I donโt know about you, but Iโm tired of a patriarchy set up to pitch us against each other. Also, it can be a bit lonely at the top and can be good to know other female entrepreneurs/creatives/writers have your back and will help you out too. Do subscribe if you want to be part of the club so we can shout about your amazing work and so you can considerately cheer others on.A potential Crone Club ally, friend or supporter?
- An individual or organisation with an interest in the healthy ageing/menopause space.- A top fella wanting to do your bit to f**k the patriarchy? Or a friend or family member wanting to support our work. Help create a healthier ageing narrative for future generations - for your daughters, nieces, granddaughters ๐.
An organisation getting tired of the negative narrative around menopause?
How about subscribing to some monthly magic to inspire more joy and positivity in your organisation on the topic of menopause and older workers?
We welcome you all ๐ .
3. What can you expect?
An email of joy (aiming for one a month, may be more or less often depending on the kindness of paid subscribers), guaranteed to expose the innate beauty of life as an older woman, give top tips for navigating our third act, and make us all feel that little bit more hopeful.
Each issue is likely to include stuff like:
๐ An in-depth feature article on a specific crone-related topic, usually inspired by discussions from the Crone Club Facebook group. Weโll share some aspirational crone adventures such as: SheSheds & Cabin Porn, and โCrone Van Lifeโ; to practical tips and resources to help you decide on what you want in โAct 3โ. You can get advice from older crones on how to navigate some of the shittier stuff that comes with ageing; but best of all, the inspiration on how to become the green and juicy crone of your dreams.
๐ Quick links to regular features including: โGone Croningโ - bat-shit-crazy Crone Events and crone activism you can get involved in; to crone books and podcast recommendations, and opportunities for Creative Crone Collaborations.
(Got anything youโd like to share? Message me!)
The basic subscription will be offered freely, but the hope is for as many folk as possible to become paid subscribers so we can keep this going. ๐๐ฝ
4. Why become a paid subscriber?
Iโve been โdoingโ Crone Club in a rather ad-hoc manner so far for free, but would love to do more and above all, do it better. I am, however, a mere human, with an ageing dog, bills n shiz.
So, with a sick feeling in my tummy n demons snapping at my tail, Iโm reaching out to friends, sisters, like-minded organisations, and individuals working in the healthy ageing community to become a paid โTits to the Windโ subscriber.
From as little as ยฃ4 a month, as a paid subscriber, youโll get:
๐ฅณ โTits to the Windโ e-magazine straight to your inbox every month(ish).
๐ฅณ Money off crone merchandise and crone events.
๐ฅณ The occasional bit of EXCLUSIVE rare and racy content, only for Crone Club subscribers.
5. Coming up in issue #001
โMay all your transitions be joyful!โ
Everything you wanted to know about Crone Crowning but didnโt dare ask.ย
In our first issue, Iโll share tips from my Crone Crowning experiment and the joys of marking a positive transition into โAct 3โ. It also includes advice on how to set up your own Crone Crowning Ceremony, some splendid examples of Crone Crowning headgear (and how to make your own crown), and exclusive access to our Crone-Crowning playlist.
6. Share the love!
Know someone who could benefit from feeling better about growing older? Or do you know a Crone who is living her โbest-green-n-juicy-life?โ and could inspire others? Or maybe you know someone who might support us? Please forward this email to anyone who might be up for a bit oโ crone mischief and want to join the club.
7. And finallyโฆ
Much love and crazy croning.

I've been looking at different websites and blogs about older women and it's not very exciting. I hope "Tits to the Wind!" is different. The name gives me hope. :0)
