I get “Which” magazine - so middle class! - and I’ve written to them a number of times about the pictures they have of a (usually young and attractive) woman on her own, smiling at her laundry/lawnmower/toilet/shopping trolley/laptop etc. FFS!!!

Love this. I feel a project brewing! I’m reading Untamed by Glenn Doyle and there’s a chapter about the Mona Lisa and her half smile. It made me do my own research; as I wondered about, I realised women smile all the damn time, men just don’t, because they don’t need to please anyone.
